Accounts and account intelligence

Keep companies as their own records. Turn on Account intelligence to get suggested details and news about an account.

Workspace settingAvailability is controlled by your workspace. Ask your administrator about access.

Accounts are their own records

An account is a company, for example a lender, a title company or a builder. It is a separate record from the people who work there. Link contacts and deals to the account.

Open Contacts → Accounts. Select New account to add one. Use Company type to filter the list. Open an account to edit its details. Its activity is on the right, like on a contact.

Accounts come with the CRM. See Your first steps to turn on the CRM.

Turn on Account intelligence

Account intelligence is off for a new brand. A brand admin turns on Account intelligence in Settings → Features. It needs the CRM. To use it on an account, you need the Edit permission in CRM.

Suggest details

Open an account. In Account Information, select Suggest details. Berchtold looks for the account's missing details on the web.

The suggestions show under Suggested details. Each one shows its source and how sure Berchtold is about it. Nothing changes until you accept. Select Accept or Dismiss for each one, or Accept all or Dismiss all.

Watch an account for news

Select Watch on an account. Berchtold checks the news for the account every day. Watch covers news only.

New items show under Signals. For each item, select Create task, Add note or Dismiss. Select Check now to check at once. A workspace can watch up to 25 accounts.
