Connect iHomefinder

Connect your iHomefinder IDX account so your website's leads, and what each one asked for, come into the CRM every 15 minutes.

Workspace settingAvailability is controlled by your workspace. Ask your administrator about access.

iHomefinder runs the property search on many real estate websites. When you connect your iHomefinder account, Berchtold reads your website's leads every 15 minutes. You do not need Zapier.

Connect your account

You need the username and password that iHomefinder gives you for its Client API. If you do not have them, ask iHomefinder support for Client API access.

  • Your own website: open Settings → Integrations. Find iHomefinder in Your connections. Enter the username and password. Then select Connect. Leads from your website are yours.
  • A team or brokerage website: an admin connects it in Settings → Integrations and shares it with the workspace. Its leads go to lead routing. With lead routing off, they have no owner until someone takes them.

Berchtold checks the username and password with iHomefinder before it saves them.

What comes in

  • Each lead is a contact, matched by email, with the source iHomefinder. A lead with no email is skipped. A contact you already have keeps its owner. Berchtold fills only a blank first name, last name or phone. It does not change a field a person set.
  • Each request is an entry in the contact's Activity, on the date the person sent it:
    • a showing request, with the listing's address, MLS number and the times they asked for;
    • a more info request, with the listing and their message;
    • a home value request or a contact request, with their message;
    • a listing report or market report sign-up.
  • A showing, more info or home value request also starts a lead, as a web form does. It goes in a Lead stage, unless the person has an open deal already. Lead routing, the follow-up task and the new-lead notice work as they do for your website's forms.

From a listing, Berchtold keeps only its address and MLS number.

Your past leads

The first check brings in your past leads. A request older than 30 days becomes history only: it starts no lead, sends no notice and starts no automation. Requests from the last 30 days start leads. A large account can take a few runs to finish.

Check the sync

Open Settings → Integrations and find iHomefinder. The Leads panel shows when it last checked, what came in today and in all, and any problem. Select Check now to look for new leads at once.

If iHomefinder refuses the username or password, the panel says so. Edit the connection with the right ones. The next check continues from where it stopped.

If you used Zapier

If a Zap sends your iHomefinder leads to Berchtold, turn it off after the first check. Otherwise each new lead comes in twice. The contact is matched, but the lead could be doubled.

Connected AI tools

Claude, ChatGPT and Muse can read how the sync went (crm_ihomefinder_status) and check for new leads now (crm_ihomefinder_check). The leads themselves are contacts and deals, which these tools already read.
