Ask the Assistant
Select Assistant in the menu to open the chat. Ask about your records and your work, or ask it to do a task. On a contact, you can also select Ask Berchtold about this contact. Check which person or deal is in context before you ask.
Answers depend on your data, your tools and your access. When data is missing, the Assistant should say so. It must not invent data.
Work with risk, such as a post to a channel, waits for approval in the Inbox. See Reviewing approvals in Inbox.
Transaction work is built in
The work on deals from contract to close is built into Berchtold. It is always on. Berchtold prepares emails on a deal's tasks, runs checks and sends daily and weekly reviews. A person owns each task and sends each email. See Built-in work on deal tasks.
Suggested updates
Berchtold suggests record updates from notes, voice notes, logged calls, texts and meetings, connected Gmail and contract PDFs. Each suggestion quotes the words of its source. Nothing changes until someone accepts it.
Review the suggestions in Inbox → Updates, or on the record. A deal shows them in Next steps. A contact shows them in Suggested updates. Select Accept, Edit or Dismiss.
To let Berchtold read your email, open Settings → Integrations. Under Your connections, select Connect Gmail. The connection is read-only. Berchtold keeps only the email with your CRM contacts. The first connection brings in the last 90 days.
Until Google finishes its review of Berchtold, only invited test users can connect Gmail.
Check what happened
A chat answer is not always a saved action. Read the result, any errors and any approval requests. Check important changes on the record and in its activity. If a response is slow, check its status before you send the request again.
